Junior Kindergarten (JK):

Junior Kindergarten is offered at both campuses for a full day from 8:30am to 3:15pm. Activities are designed to support early literacy, numeracy and encourage exploration through a variety of hands-on activities. Our maximum class size is 22 children. Hebrew is introduced for ½ hour per day.

Our goals are to assist students in socialization, development of motor skills, and early skill and knowledge acquisition through thematic activities in Language, Science, Numeracy, Jewish holiday celebrations including Shabbat, and learning prayers. Music, Art and storytelling are also part of a creative, developmentally appropriate curriculum.

Although socialization outcomes and learning through play are still important, our children take on more responsibility and are expected to meet curricular outcomes in every subject.
